Reducing the burden of reporting

In these austere times, public services are incredibly stretched. The Future Generations Bill in Wales will be the central organising principle for public services in Wales, but at the Good Practice Exchange’s shared learning seminar there was a fear that it would just add a layer of bureaucracy.

Wrexham County Borough Council have shared a case study on how they’ve reduced their reporting requirements so that staff appraisals have a clear path to the plan for the county’s public services. This is well worth reading if you’re interested in making similar efficiencies in your work.
