An interesting discussion this week from Louise Atkinson who looks at the relationship between artist and museums. Louise considers how artists have intervened in museums, either through being commissioned to respond to the collection, creating interpretive works, or sometimes even uninvited. One area which Louise looks at is the way contemporary artists help museum visitors interpret the artefacts of the past. Louise also shares some helpful examples and further reading around this subject.
