A parent in the Healthcare system (and proof I did not steal the DaVinci)

I have to admit that when I read Peter Bryden’s account of the birth of his first child I had tears running down my face. Peter and his wife did not experience the care you would expect during what became a very traumatic and stressful delivery. Peter shares how there was a lack of information, communication and compassion from some hospital staff, which left him and his wife feeling confused, alone and a burden. When considering why staff may have behaved in such a way Peter believes that they had become transactional and lost the link with each individual’s personal patient experience.

Working in local gov, managing a frontline service for families. I love Shropshire, love family and love information and blog about all three. There is also the occasional mention of cake and caek.
